In the realm of domain names, the notion of domain name suffix is extremely important. We should mention that domain name suffixes (also referred to as “top level domains”)  are generally maintained by the International Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), which administers the overall Domain Name System with the aim of identifying the type of a specific group in charge of the web site.
